Is PhraseShelf free?
Yes. There are no paid tiers, subscriptions, or accounts. There is no product-imposed snippet-count cap, but your device and browser still have storage limits.
Where is my library stored?
Inside the extension’s browser profile. There is no cloud synchronization or application backend. Keep an independent backup: local revisions and recovery points remain in the same profile.
Is my library encrypted?
No. The ordinary library is not encrypted. You can optionally encrypt an exported backup file with a password. This does not encrypt your active library or hide inserted text from a destination website.
Which shortcut should I start with?
Use a semicolon alias such as ;thanks, then press Space. Existing slash aliases still work. Tab, Enter, and immediate expansion are optional settings, not the default recommendation.
Does it work in every website?
No. Ordinary editors and several local framework fixtures have been tested, but named services such as Gmail, Outlook Web, and Zendesk remain unverified. Protected or inaccessible editors may require Copy and manual paste.
Can I use it in French or Arabic?
You can save multilingual text, including French and Arabic. The current extension interface and starter packs are English and Arabic. This French website does not imply a French extension interface.
Can I install it on my phone?
This release is for desktop Chrome and Edge. On mobile you can read the guides, try the website demonstration, and copy examples. There is no mobile extension or native desktop app in this release.
Does it send messages or use AI?
No. PhraseShelf inserts writing you have saved and helps fill in changing details. You review and send messages yourself. There is no remote AI, campaign automation, or scheduled sending.
Can I import another tool’s library?
Mapped CSV and flat JSON can import text records, with a preview and review of unsupported content. Dedicated competitor migration is not verified. Preserve the original export and rebuild unsupported fields manually.

The project contains a local 0.2.0 release candidate. There is no verified browser-store listing or authorized public download on this website yet. The installation guide explains how to load the archive if you already have it.
